Sam Hannah earned his wings the hard way – as one of the RAF’s most daring flyers on the Western front. But after the war Sam went down the world. Kansas, Mexico, Panama, Peru: sinking a little lower with each move. By the 1930s he was pushing ancient planes across the uncharted jungles of Brazil. 

          Neil Mallory was a flyer too. One of the new generation who would rather fly anything than not fly at all. Mallory needed a job and Hannah needed a partner.
