Autumn 1940 — the Blitz is at its height. Each night over London the bitter, savage dog — fights briefly flare against the brooding sky. Only three of the original members of the squadron, founded a few short months before, still survive, desperately struggling to turn the tide of war.

          But elsewhere the war is gathering momentum and the squadron leaves behind the murk of England for the blue, but just as deadly, skies of Greece. Its job is to give all — important air support to the stubborn Greek resistance to the German invasion. For most of the inexperienced pilots it can only end in death and their final resting place will be a Greek hillside among the myths and legends of the past….
