Book description
Four-and-a-half million postcards were put in circulation in June 1995 through „The Body Shop”, the „Co-op Bank”, the „Fawcett Society” and 500 women’s organizations. Women were asked to fill them in with their vision for a better Britain. Thousands responded asking for better working conditions, equal pay, childcare, health service, world peace, a clean environment, safety in the streets, and justice for all. This book reflects hundreds of these responses, within an analytical framework and will become part of a major women’s campaign to influence political decision makers in the lead-up to the next general election.
